![]() 2008 All-ACC Academic Men's Tennis Team Announced July 24, 2008
GREENSBORO, N.C. - ACC Men's Tennis Scholar-Athlete of the Year Dominic Inglot of Virginia leads the 2008 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men's Tennis Team as announced today by Commissioner John D. Swofford. Inglot, a junior Commerce major from London, England, is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the ACC Honor Roll and is a two-time selection to the ACC All-Academic Team. On the tennis court, Inglot was named an ITA Singles All-American after being ranked as high as No. 3 nationally during the 2008 season. He placed first in the ITA Mideast Regional Tournament and also starred indoors and during the fall season. He has been named a 2008-09 Virginia team captain. Duke leads all ACC schools with four All-Academic team selections. Georgia Tech and Virginia Tech each placed three student-athletes on the squad. To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. This year's team included seven repeat honorees from 2007 and one three-time honoree in Duke's Kiril Dimitrov. The 2008 All-ACC Academic Men's Tennis Team is as follows:
