The opening game of Duke's baseball series against top-ranked Florida State, scheduled for Thursday at 7:00 p.m., has been postponed because of rain. The Blue Devils and Seminoles will play a doubleheader on Friday at Jack Coombs Field beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Senior RHP Jeff Alleva is expected to start the first game for the Blue Devils against Florida State LHP Trent Peterson. Duke freshman RHP Russell Durfee is slated to start the second game against Seminole LHP Matt Lynch.

Duke (16-31, 2-18 ACC) and Florida State (44-8-1, 16-5 ACC) will conclude the final regular season series of the year on Saturday with a 1:30 p.m. contest.
