Durham, N.C. - The opening game of Duke's baseball series against Maryland, scheduled for Friday at 7:00 p.m., has been postponed because of rain. The Blue Devils and Terrapins will play a doubleheader on Saturday at Jack Coombs Field beginning at 1:00 p.m.

The first game of the doubleheader will be broadcast live by FOX Sports Net South and Comcast Sportsnet with Mike Hogewood and Dan Bonner calling the action. Senior Steve Schmoll (Rockville, Md.) will take the mound for Maryland in search of Maryland records, with senior Jeff Alleva taking the hill for Duke. Freshman RHP Russell Durfee will start on the mound for the Blue Devils in Game Two.

The Terps look to continue the momentum from last weekend, when they won their first two conference games over then-No. 15 Clemson.

Duke (14-26, 0-14 ACC) and Maryland (14-25, 2-12 ACC) will conclude the series with a game at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday.
